My wife has a brown pair of SAS shoes she has worn for years and they have held up beautifully and fit her perfectly. So, she recently ordered the same style in black, supposedly identical to the brown ones. (Size 10 M Women's) When they arrived, the toe was slightly more curved than her brown ones and so were much too tight against her big and second toes. She hates to go through the hassle of returning things, (repacking, labeling, etc. and driving to the P.O. or UPX store miles from our home.) Therefore, she just ordered another pair in size 11 rather than returning the ones that didn't fit. These came with the toe area more like her brown ones and so the right foot fit perfectly. However, the left shoe was slightly larger than the right one and so she bought a heel pad which resolved the issue. She loves the shoes, but is disappointed that the toe style varied between the first pair of black shoes and the second pair so that the first pair didn't fit. She was also surprised that there was such a difference in size between the left and right foot in the size 11's. It was an expensive experience (mostly due to her reluctance to go through the process of returning the first pair of black shoes), but, being in her 80's I guess I'll cut her some slack.
