General

What does "SAS" stand for? What's the proper way to pronounce it?

"SAS" stands for San Antonio Shoemakers™. Sometimes we are referred to by our abbreviated name, which is SAS /‘es’a‘es/. While we prefer San Antonio Shoemakers™ over SAS, how our customers say our name is not as important to us as how they enjoy the comfort of our shoes.

My laces keep coming undone, what can I do?

If you are having difficulty with our laces coming undone, it would be best to try tying them in opposite directions. This is when you make the second loop, go under and over the first loop towards the body. Please attempt to tie the shoes in this manner. This has been more successful with our customers.

How long can I expect my shoes to last?

There is no perfect answer because some people are harder on their shoes than others. Our shoes are made in Texas, and the craftsmanship is top-tier. It's not unusual for our customers to wear a pair of our shoes for YEARS before replacing them.

Do you have my size?

This is a big selling point for us. very likely, Yes! We sell women's sizes 4-12 (including half sizes) and offer up to 6 widths (Slim, Narrow, Medium, Wide, Double Wide, Triple Wide) depending on the style. Men's sizes are the same, but with sizes from 6 through 16.

Why are SAS so expensive?

Our prices look high, but you get what you pay for. SAS uses the best materials, and our shoes are handcrafted in Texas. These shoes are built to last, and the cost per wear typically ends up lower than a cheap pair of shoes. When the alternative is a pricey doctor visit, $185 starts to look a lot better.

Do you have slip resistant shoes?

Yes we do have slip-resistant shoes that are specifically designed for work. Our work collection also features water and oil resistant leather uppers designed with restaurant staff in mind.

Will the leather stretch?

Yes. Our shoes use top-quality leathers, and as a result they will stretch as they wear.
