Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long can I expect them to last?
Everyone's experience will be different. With daily use, you can expect your SAS shoes to easily last a year or 2 and sometimes all way up to 10! This varies for everyone, depending on how hard you are on your shoes.
-
What does "SAS" stand for? What's the proper way to pronounce it?
"SAS" stands for San Antonio Shoemakers™. Sometimes the brand is referred to by its abbreviated name, which is SAS /‘es’a‘es/. While San Antonio Shoemakers™ is preferred over SAS, how our customers say our name is not as important to us as how they enjoy the comfort of our shoes.
-
The price point seems high. Why is that?
Our prices look high, but you get what you pay for. SAS uses the best global materials, and our shoes are handcrafted in Texas. These shoes are built to last, and the cost per wear typically ends up lower than a cheap pair of shoes. When the alternative is a pricey doctor visit, $195 starts to look a lot better.
