Tips for Measuring and Fitting

- Remember, when we go up in size, the width will also increase.
- All styles fit differently.

- Many customers may require doctor recommended orthotics. Inserts may require added depth in the shoe and make it fit differently, so try to account for this adjustment.

The SAS Difference

Over 45 Years of Experience

Started in 1976 with just 13 shoemakers in San Antonio, Texas. Today SAS Shoes are available across the globe.

While our numbers have grown, our mission has not. Our customer’s comfort comes first, and together we make that comfort possible.

Handcrafted Quality

Striding Towards Perfection

Just one pair of shoes may go through 100 different steps before completion. No corners are cut when manufacturing SAS Shoes.

Approximately 80 different skilled pairs of hands touch each shoe to make sure the SAS shoes you choose are the best made pair of footwear in your closet.

Continued Heritage

Staying True to Our Mission

The SAS mission is to create the most comfortable shoes in the world.

SAS Shoes are still manufactured in Texas, just as they were 40+ years ago. Our shoes are handcrafted from only the softest, highest quality leather.

There are 14 primary operations that take place in the Texas factories like leather selection, die-making, cutting, lasting and more. Each pair is made from the finest global materials available.

Probably should have changed size

I love the softness of the leather in this shoe, but I fear they run smaller than most and I should have sent them back and ordered another size larger. I had returned several pair and was determined these MUST be right. Wrong again. Very nice shoes.

Travelor Navy

The Narrow fit fine. Have another SAS which is medium and a too wide after wearing awhile. Beautifully constructed shoe and lovely dark navy.

Most comfortable shoe. I have worn the Traveler for a long time and use every color that SAS carries. I wear an 11N, a size that is difficult to find and my orthotic fits comfortably.

Not as resilient as I was hoping for

I’m a 74 year old narrow-footed slim woman traveling now through the Riviera, Provence and Milan. I praise the shoes for their trim urban look, but on the cobblestone streets in the South of France they really fall short on comfort. I feel every stone as if I were wearing bedroom slippers. I purchased these online and did not give them a test run until already abroad. I would like them to bounce more like sneakers while still retaining their dress-shoe look. I usually wear SAS in a 9N. For me, the traveler shoe is best in 9-1/2N to accommodate thin black socks.
