Tips for Measuring and Fitting

- Remember, when we go up in size, the width will also increase.
- All styles fit differently.

- Many customers may require doctor recommended orthotics. Inserts may require added depth in the shoe and make it fit differently, so try to account for this adjustment.

Not narrow enough

The black version was the first pair of this style I ordered. As you can see in the pictures, the black ones were way too loose for me, so I exchanged the “Narrow” for the “Slim”, (which wasn't offered in the black I wanted, but I ordered the "Antique Tan" anyway, hoping it would at least fit). As you can see in the other picture, there was almost no discernible difference: the “Slim” was still too loose over the toes. The problem is not the width of the foot bed. It’s the fact that the piece that goes across the toes cannot be adjusted, and is too loose for a narrow foot. I'm 75 years old, and can say that this is a chronic problem which has gotten much worse in recent years. There are very few manufacturers who make narrow widths any more. But shoe size is not a, "one size fits all" situation. There are still plenty of narrow feet among the population! I've been wearing the SAS "Duo" for years, because it has adjustable buckles in the piece over the toes, but (insert your favorite curse here) I'm tired of the style! And though SAS offers other styles with velcro closures.... I've had it with velcro, too. It wears out, and is not as secure as a buckle, (though probably cheaper to produce) and I do a lot of walking. I want my shoes to stay on. I would not recommend this shoe to anyone with a narrow foot.

Love these Shoes!!

Hello and thank you so much for making these amazing shoes that we have in our family for many years for sure I talk to my friends about these shoes that they are comfy and very durable worth every penny although it would be nice to get a discount from time to time. It would be nice though if you don't have the size a customer needs to let them know and see what they want to do so they won't have to go through the trouble of returning an item but other than that I love you guys and thank you for the wonderful shoes done with all the hard work!!!!

Not the same fit as before

I would ordinarily give SAS Huarache sandals five stars. I love them—have been buying them and wearing them for probably 20 years or more, in several colors. This pair, in Natural, just didn't fit the same way. There was a big gap between the sandal and the tops of my toes. I bought the same size I always buy, and double checked some old sandals to make sure something weird hadn't happened to my feet. The old (black) ones still fit beautifully, but these are just wrong. I even tried ordering them in a 6.5M instead of 7N, but the 6.5 is too short. I'm really disappointed, and hope SAS will check on the manufacturing. Are they really still made in San Antonio? I'm saying yes, I would recommend them, because maybe they will fit someone else's feet, or maybe they're okay in another color.
