There are 14 primary operations that take place in the Texas factories like leather selection, die-making, cutting, lasting and more. Each pair is made from the finest global materials available.

Disappointing

Comfortable BUT a disaster. I have many great SAS sandals and was looking for a pair for lots of walking. Embark fit the bill, and the first time I wore them I walked many miles. When I took them off, my husband and friends asked "What's wrong with your feet?!" They looked black and blue. I was briefly worried until I realized the dye from the sandal has transferred to my feet.

The problem hasn't resolved and a rep told me that I can't exchange them because they are used. Obviously it is impossible to learn of the defect without wearing them. So I have a very expensive pair of dust collectors.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The left foot was loose than the right foot. It was used for fitting so many times, wish you can loosen up the right foot before you send it to me.

Tried them

I ordered them but couldn’t get the width right. Feet change over time and my toes are more splayed than before. They are good shoes that are supportive however they aren’t as soft as the same style I have made using a different material. Going up another width than normal also means the whole shoe gets wider which I was unaware of. They were returned and exchanged for a shoe that I am comfortable with. Customer service was very accomodating and provided me with a label and as soon as they were in the mail for return they sent me my other chosen shoe. Can’t ask for more.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Very comfortable

These are the first pair of SAS sandals I have ever purchased, and they won't be the last. Fantastic support and so very comfortable.

I have worn SAS shoes for years but the shoe store I used no longer stocks them. The quality of the leather, etc. Is top notch. And they are from the USA.
