My family has bought SAS shoes for decades, and I always bought this style knowing that it will be comfortable from the start with no breaking in, so I ordered my usual Wide width. However, it was tight. I exchanged if for WW. Surprisingly, this was just as tight as the previous. I compared the soles to my old SAS shoes, and SHOKINGLY, the new 2W sole is 1/8" NARROWER than my old 1W SAS shoes. The whole sole is visibly narrower, which you can see in the picture (old - 10W, new - 10WW.) The customer service said there may have been a labeling mistake and kindly suggested to exchange it for another pair of the same size, which I did. This 2W pair had the same narrow sole, way narrower than my old shoes. The shoes are tight and uncomfortable, and mind you, my feet aren't that wide - I often wear Regular width in other brands, so I don't know how to explain that WW is too tight with SAS. The only explanation, sadly, is that SAS must have decided to save on materials and - obviously - made their models narrower. Very sad. My family had been SAS wearers for years. I will keep this unfortunate pair, but it's the last one. I DON"T recommend these shoes unless you have narrow feet.
