SAS Guardian - Work Shoe

Been wearing these shoes for over 10 years. Recommended by my foot Dr. Love them

The SAS shoes delivery and exchange timelines are stellar. For years I have had trouble with my feet and I know from experience the difference a good quality insole will make at the end of the day. I feel strongly the insoles that come with the shoes leave some room for improvement. "Just one look that's all it took", I knew the SAS insoles would not work for me, maybe they will be fine for others. The furnished insoles are very thin. When I replaced them with a better, thicker, more shock-absorbing insole it made the shoes too small. So, for me I had to add $40 to the price of the shoes and get a half of size larger but, the exchange for the bigger size went well. I wasn't going to fill out a review but SAS just kept on sending their requests. The shoes appear to be well constructed and claim to be made in the U.S. which is good. I don't like the required yes or no answer about recommending to a friend in this recurring solicitation. All I can tell you is, "time will tell", don't put too much stock in their forced answer of yes or no. I don't know yet okay?

I have been wearing the SAS Guardians for over 10 years at a 2 million square foot museum with simply the most punishing floors you can imagine: Marble, Granite, Paving stone, 100 year old masonry. I walk 14,000 steps every day on this job. I do hours of prolonged standing every day. I have simply never found a shoe that does it better.

Each pair of Guardians has lasted me at least 2 years. In some ways they even protect you from overextending your feet. These aren't running shoes - These are STANDING shoes.

The support under your feet is durable, soft enough to absorb a lot of the "foot pounds" of floor hardness yet firm enough to take your weight even if you are a big person. they take any insole you put in them and they have great roomy toe boxes that are critical for your foot health and uppers that hold up well even after wearing them years and are presentable as shoes to wear with a suit. They support your mid tarsal area well and are easy to adjust the mid arch tightness/looseness depending on what your feet need in the moment.

I know people who buy black running shoes for the job. My job isn't running - my job is STANDING.
Guardians are simply the best for the job.

I have recommended these shoes hundreds of times over the year. For me, they are simply "Must Have" shoes for my line of work.
