Initial fit should be wide enough to stay very comfortable across the ball of the foot yet roomy enough in the front so the toes are not cramped. Wanted back pain relief

Started walking because I had read that it was good for relieving back pain. My back started to feel better, however my shoes were making my feet hurt. Started researching walking shoes for older men. I am over 70. The SAS journey mesh came highly recommended in articles. I had had a pair of SAS shoes years ago that I liked. I made the purchase, and was happy with the follow through and updates to shipping. So far I have been able to continue my walks without much problem. I have found a good pair of socks helps with the sore feet.
All in all pretty satisfied.

Shoe came with skinny strings. Thankfully I had some good strings I saved on a past order so I replaced the strings and it made a world of difference. They also seem to be lacing in support. Less rubber on the souls. It's obvious. I'll be shopping for better shoes. Bidenomics has influenced SAS. We are now being ripped off!
